Optimize Your Keyword For On-Page SEO
Keywords are the thing you never have to miss if you want to make your content better. If you don’t know what keywords are then let’s have one vision of it.
The keyword is the word searcher’s search and the search engine shows content that is related and contains the same keyword searcher search for.
I hope you get an idea what Keyword is. So, let’s start how do you optimize your content keyword.
Their is so many things in keyword to cover for better ranking. Let’s start with the first one.
#1. Use Your Targeted Keyword In First 100 Words
It’s look some old fashioned, but it’s matter a lot.
All you have to is just use your keyword in first 100-150 words of your article.
Let’s have an example, if your targeted keyword is “Fancy Food”.
Then you must to add Keyword “Fancy Food’ in your first 100-150 words in your article.
Now, you’re must wondering that why I have to do this?
So, just think you have the keyword “Fancy Food” and you haven’t put it in your first 100-150 words. What going to happen is readers come to your article and read the first 50 to 100 words and they can’t find the targeted keyword then the reader must leave your site.
Readers mostly first read your first 100 words and they found it helps them then they continue otherwise they are gonna leave your site. And It also makes sense.
#2. Keyword Frequency
You may get an idea through the heading. It’s Keyword Frequency. It analyzes how many times the keyword you have put in your content.
Let’s directly take an example,
One of your blog post of 2,000 words rank in top 3 in Google for keyword “Instagram Algorithm”.
What do you think, how many times the keyword you have to use?
500 times? 700 times? or 50 times?
You just have to use it approx 10 times. You can’t have to use it for many times and irritate your readers and also not have to use for just 2 or 3 times.
It’s better if you use it naturally. It’s have to look natural.
So, that’s the 2 factor you have to keep in mind while optimizing you contet for On-Page SEO.
H1 is called Heading 1. And H2 is Subheading. It’s an HTML tag that indicates the heading on your website.
#1. H1 Tag Optimization
The H1 tag is like a mini title tag. H1 tag is an HTML tag that indicates the heading on your website. HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. Most websites use this language to create web pages. And an HTML tag is a snippet of code that tells your web browser how to display the content.
So, have you got the idea? If not then tell me in the comment section.
Okay, now the question is how you can optimize it?
The most platform like WordPress automatically adds an H1 tag to your blog post. So, you don’t have to do much. But still, I must you should check it once and make sure that your title is wrapped in the H1 tag. And your keyword is also in it.
#2. H2 Tag Optimization
Include your target keyword in at least one subheading. And wrap that subheading in an H2 tag.
Wrapping targeted keyword in subheading makes your content more dent. So that, your website rank better.
Optimizing Your Content Links
Links matter much in SEO. It helps in both On-page and also in Off-page SEO. You have to optimize links for both but because we are talking about On-page SEO, we will cover how to optimize links for on-page SEO. If you want to have Off-page SEO link Optimization you can go here.
#1. Use Outbound Links
Outbound links are also called External links. As you get an idea from the name that the outbound links are links that are out from your website. It means you have linked other websites in your article.
I know you are wondering that why you need to do that?
After some experiment at Reboot Online, they find that the site with outbound links ranks higher than without outbound links. And also by doing so you make some good relation with that website owner.
#2. Use Internal Links
Internal links mean the links of your own website pages or posts. Internal and External links both are very important.
All you have to is, just join your website page or post a link to your article. But you don’t need to add so many and make it bulk, just add 1 or 2 internal and 2-3 external links in each article.
The benefit of doing so is you are keeping your user engaged. And when any readers go through that link you got more pageviews.
Your URLs structure is the underrated part of SEO. URL stands for Uniform Resource Lacotor.
Nowdays, google shows URLs above the title tag. Your URLs is more important now then before.
To create SEO-friendly URLs :
- Make your URLs short
- Use keyword in the URLs
It’s not much important to add only keywords in URLs. You should add other words in the URLs.
For example, my guide on how to start blog I have add some words and my main keyword in it:
Optimize Title Tags
From my experience title tag is much important for On-page SEO.
#1. Use Keyword Closer The Beginning Of Title Tags
You title tag gives search engines a high-level overview of what your page is all about.
The closer the keyword in your title tag the more weight it has with search engine.
For example, your one article is about “SEO Tools”. And your title is “15 SEO Tools To Optimize Your Content Completely”.
It’s not necessary to put keywords at the beginning of the title but the more closer to the beginning is much better.
#2. Use Title Tag Modifiers
Use modifiers like”best”, “guide”, “checklist”, “fast” and “review”. It helps you to rank for long tail keywords.
For an example., my SEO post include modifier “Ultimate Guide”.
Now, the question is why it’s important?
By doing so, you engage your CTR (Click Trough Rate). And also it’s help you to rank better.
#3. Use Numbers In Title
In some experiments, the researcher’s found that people click numbers included titles more than without number titles.
Let’s make it with you. There are two options with you, the first one is “10 Best Tools To Optimize Your Content Better” and the second one is “Tools To Optimize Your Content Better”. Which one you are going to choose? Of course the first one!
That’s the reason. People feel more engaged with the Number included title.
So, use numbers in your title.
